Divorce 101 Class

The Divorce 101 class provides a brief overview of the topics that normally need to be addressed in a divorce. The purpose of the class is to help divorcing parties understand what decisions they will need to make during the divorce process, as well as some of the most common approaches to each issue.

The class includes a training manual that you can use during and after the session.

The 90-minute class covers:
- Options for Divorce (DIY, Lawyers, and Mediation)
- Child Custody / Physical Custody
- Legal Custody / Decision Making
- Parenting Plans
- Real Estate / Home Sales
- Vehicles
- Retirement Accounts
- Debts
- Personal Property

The cost is $50 per person. The class lasts approximately 90 minutes, including a Q&A session.

About the Instructor

Rob graduated law school at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he focused on family law and conflict resolution. Though he is a licensed attorney, his main focus is providing mediation services to parties going through divorce.

Rob has mediated hundreds of cases and has been recognized as one of Utah's top family law mediators. His passion is helping people get through the divorce process as peacefully and smoothly as possible.

He lives in Lehi, Utah with his family. In his free time he enjoys music, studying history, and playing soccer.

If you and your spouse already agree on all the terms of your divorce, you may not need to hire attorney or appear in court. Using our DIY Divorce Guide, you can navigate the terms of your divorce on your own. When you're finished, one of our team members can help you prepare the necessary paperwork and submit it to the Courts.
